A One Day Trip Around the Fuji-Hakone-Izu Area Leaving from the “Fuji Speedway Racing Course”

Susono Central Park & Goryunotaki Falls (Susono City)
Visit a beautiful waterfall, created because the lava on Mt. Fuji was eroded by stream flow, or the Old Uematsu Family’s Residence which is a private residence from the Edo period.

The restaurant district adjacent to Numazu Harbor includes Sushi restaurants, where you can get a taste of fresh seafood as well as traditional Japanese food. There are also many souvenir shops that sell dried and fresh fish that line up the streets.
At the entrance of the harbor is a large-scale sluice gate called “Byuuo” which was built using the Tsunami Disaster Prevention Countermeasures. Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay can be seen from the lookout facility located in the upper part of the sluice gate.

Mishima Shrine (Mishima City)
This is the largest shrine in the Izu Area and it enshrines Kotoshironushi-no-mikoto and Oyamatsumi-no-mikoto. It is well known as the shrine where Minamoto no Yoritomo, a samurai warrior from the twelfth century, prayed for victory.

Mt. Katsuragi Ropeway (Izunokuni City)
You can reach the top of the mountain on the ropeway in 7 minutes. From the top, you can see Mt. Fuji, Mt. Hakone, Mt. Amagi as well as Suruga Bay. Flower Park, the observation deck and Katsuragi Shrine are some of the places you can visit on the mountain top.

Shuzenji Nijinosato Garden (Izu City)
A garden-style theme park where you can enjoy flowers from all four seasons or ride a miniature trolley train. The Japanese Garden, English Village, Canadian Village and Craftsman’s Village are some of the places you can visit in the park. In Craftsman’s Village, you can enjoy some hands-on activities such as paper making.
