Situated at the most easterly end of Yamanashi prefecture, at the foot of Mt. Fuji, this mountain resort area is home to Japanﾕs third highest lake, Yamanakako. The area is a virtual mecca for sport camps in the summer, with many water sports done on the lake itself.
