Fujiyoshida City

Fujiyoshida City is the gateway to climbing Mt. Fuji from Yamanashi side. Since the Edo period, the city has flourished as the home for Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine. The area is also famous for being the center of traditional Koshu weaving, and is also home to the popular Fujikyu Highland amusement park.
